Those of you who have been following this blog for a while now may have noticed that back in December, I went from having no posts in a good long while to returning to my initial posting schedule of the first and fifteenth of every month. That’s about the time that I went from being really worried about my job security and whether or not I wanted to be at my current job to feeling relatively stable in my position. Why that’s the case is a really long story that I don’t plan to tell unless I end up leaving. That said, in the intervening four months I’ve been adding to the queue for this space and am currently queued to the end of the year.

There are some posts I don’t want to write until closer to the time of publishing. For instance, it feels disingenuous to write the New Year blessing piece in April and hold it until January 1st. I also don’t see the sense in adding every single essay to a queue that’s already eight months deep. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll continue to maintain a nice, deep cushion for myself in case everything goes off the rails again. Still, given that I’m so far ahead, I’d like to test drive a few new kinds of work and see how that feels.

What it boils down to is this. The current posting schedule is staying in place. You’ll still have new essays the first and fifteenth of every month. In the near to medium future, there will be posts that are either experimental for me or are more timely than having a long queue will allow. I’ll be adding the experimental posts to their own lists, so that if anyone either loves that kind of work or doesn’t want to see it, they’ll be easy to sort through.

I would love any and all feedback as I allow myself a little experimentation. Having a good feel for what people want to see more or less of would be a big help.

In the meantime, there will be a new post up bright and early tomorrow morning.

Thanks for reading!
